A Nintendo em conferência deu mais detalhes das novas funcionalidades do Nintendo DSi.
O Nintendo DSi virá com uma ferramenta onboard para a edição de imagens que pode ser utilizado nas imagens capturadas pelo Nintendo DSi em tempo real. Alguns efeitos serão a composição de faces, distorção, sobrepor imagens, alterar expressão da face e adicionar frames de imagens. O Nintendo DSi contará com duas câmeras, uma externa na tampa e outra interna perto do microfone na junção das duas telas.
Com relação ao tocador música, chamado de Nitendo DSi Sound, suportará o formato AAC e as músicas seram reproduzidas através do cartão de memória SD. Será possível manipular a velocidade e o volume do som, e vários efeitos poderão ser aplicados em tempo real. Uma destas funções será a possibilidade de gravar sua voz (até 10 segundas) e aplicá-las na músicas. O Nintendo DSi Sound contará também com vários visualizares de músicas.
